Moments worth hearing

“We all have pain. We all have anxiety. I actually hate talking about anxiety, because I think we should just call it human. Are you anxious? Who’s not anxious? Dead people — because they’re not breathing, they’re not thinking, they’re not moving, they’re not doing anything, they’re laying there dead. If you’re breathing, you’re probably anxious.”
Danny Lamonte · July 11, 2021
I don’t mean romantically, I mean like we all have pain. We all have anxiety. I actually hate talking about anxiety because I think we should just call it human. Like, are you anxious? Who’s not anxious? Dead people, because they’re not breathing, they’re not thinking, they’re not moving, they’re not doing anything, they’re laying there dead. If you’re breathing, you’re probably anxious.
“God, I thank you so much that though I am anxious, I don’t have to deny it — that you instead say for me to cast all my fears on you, because you care for me.”
Danny Lamonte · November 1, 2020
God, I thank you so much that though I am anxious, I don’t have to deny it — that you instead say for me to cast all my fears on you, because you care for me.
“What if we prayed, “God, change my heart, God, change me”? God, I don’t know what’s gonna happen. In fact, I’m scared, and I’m worried, and I’m afraid that you’re gonna take everything away — and in that, God exposes what we actually put our faith in. But ultimately: to know that our Father, who sent his Son because he loved us — whatever surgery happens in our heart, ultimately it’s for our good and his glory. That’s what Romans 8 tells us.”
Danny Lamonte · April 26, 2020
Instead of praying, God change my spouse, God change my kids, God change my marital status, God change my job — what if we prayed, God change my heart, God change me? God, I don’t know what’s gonna happen. In fact, I’m scared, and I’m worried, and I’m afraid that you’re gonna take everything away — and in that, God exposes what we actually put our faith in. But ultimately, to know that our Father, who sent his Son because he loved us — whatever surgery happens in our heart, ultimately it’s for our good and his glory. That’s what Romans 8 tells us.
